mixture shop

The main operation of this shop is stacking and preparation of cast iron with homogenized chemical compositions for converter.
This shop owns two mixtures with nominal capacity of 1100 Tons. These storages have benefits as follows:

preventing the fall of the melt temperature , temperature homogenization , coordination of the B.F and converter processing , preventing the ladle stoppage carrying cast iron.

converter shop

The aim of converter is to change the hot metal to steel with certain marks. this shop has three LD-CB type converters. The capacity of every converter is 130 Tons .we manufacture all types of structural and industrial steel grades.
Its processing is as follows: After charging of the scrap with sponge iron (DRI) and discharged cast iron from mixture and other auxiliaries in the converter , pure oxygen within a certain time will be blown to the hot metal , then impurities and extra carbon is removed and cast iron will be changed to steel.

In order to establish certain specifications in steel with desired grade while discharging the converter , some alloys such as ferromanganese , ferrosillice and fine coke are added to steel.
After evaluating the temperature and determining the existing carbon , hot metal would be discharged.

ladle furnace shop

This shop receives produced steel of the converter or returned steel from casting unit which needs to be analytically homogenized , reheated and modified.
In this shop inert gases such as nitrogen & argon are blown in to hot metal for necessary period in order to homogenize the temperature and chemical analysis and to be refined by non-metal impurities.
Steel gets heat through electric arch.
Existing quantometer in the shop takes a sample from ladle while adding alloys to steel and clears the chemical composition within a short time.

ladle recovery shop

This shop receives produced steel of the converter or returned steel from casting unit which needs to be analytically homogenized , reheated and modified.

ladle recovery shop

This shop has been reconstructed to provide and prepare steel & casting ladles as well as refractory dressing of the mixtures of the converters and ladles used for steel making unit.

continues casting shop

The purpose of this shop is the production of slab for the rolling mill.
This shop consists of four Russian and four Danieli casting stations. The procedures of work are as follows. hot metal ladle with certain temperature and chemical composition as per the company standard is fixed on the carriage on casting machine.

In order to regulate the speed of casting and separate the non-metallic impurities of steel , firstly hot metal is charged to tundish and then to the open copper mold. the walls of mold will be water cooled so hot metal cools and becomes solid. then a solid shell as per the shape of the mold will surrounds hot metal. solid shell along with hot metal after leaving the crystalizator in the second cool area with direct spray of water will be cooled and hot metal totally becomes solid. Then produced slab with requested cuttings will be dispatched to the slab workshop.

slab shop

The aim of this yard is to determine the casting defects of slabs and pretreatment of casting slabs with desired quality and needed sizes for rolling mill engineering.
